Let it Snow

But also, let it stop now.

 December 1, 2024

Make time for yourself this Holiday season! Have a fancy dinner for one (Grinch-style), do your skincare, and peruse Balloon Bar YQR’s December newsletter to keep up with your favourite local business!

MEET YOUR LOCAL PARTY PEOPLE

We’ve expanded our team! So obviously, we had to have a full-scale photoshoot complete with noisemakers and party hats. Follow our socials for “Meet the Dream Team” December, and learn more about each awesome team member and their role within Balloon Bar YQR. Huge thanks to our honorary Party Person, Zak Neilson, for being our go-to photographer no matter how ridiculous our ideas are (@zak_from_yqr)!

HOLIDAY FAVOURITES

Nothing says “holiday cheer” like the perfect balloon arrangement! And we mean literally… We can put those words on a balloon. Shopping seasonally is easier than ever with our Holiday Collection! Check it out!

HOME (AND CLOSED) FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Balloon Bar YQR will be closed from December 22- December 26 for the holidays.

We’ll be hugging our dogs, eating mashed potatoes, and getting too competitive about family charades. We hope you will be too. This is your reminder to get those December orders in early! We’ll be blocking out dates as we hit order capacity!

HEY 2025, YOU CAME UP QUICKLY

We’re ready for a new era at Balloon Bar YQR! Stay tuned for our Annual Report and our 2025 goals. But before we get down to business for January, make sure you ring in the new year the right way (with balloons that is)! Take a look at one of our favourite New Years installs from last year at the Atlas Hotel.

NOVEMBER HIGHLIGHTS

YWCA's Grand Opening

When: November 6, 2024

Where: 2817 12th Avenue, Regina - kikaskihtânaw Centre for Women and Families

We were thrilled to help the YWCA open their new, gorgeous space with a bang (or more accurately, a jaw-dropping balloon drop)! This new kikaskihtânaw Centre for Women and Families is dedicated to supporting and helping women and families in vulnerable situations. It’s the first of its kind in Canada, and we were stoked to help unveil it to the community!

Boston Pizza's Fallidays

When: November 2024

Where: Boston Pizza, Regina

The beginning of the holiday season (or should we say “Falliday” season), was properly rung in at Boston Pizza! This colour blocked, seasonal garland was the perfect way to spruce up their dining space!

UPCOMING EVENTS

Holidays at Bennett Dunlop Ford

When: December 2024

Where: Bennett Dunlop Ford, 770 Broad Street Regina

Every year, we look forward to transforming Bennett Dunlop Ford’s stunning dealership into a balloonin’ Winter Wonderland! Stay tuned to see what tricks we have up our sleeves for 2024. Last year it involved deli lids and fishing line… Trust the process.

Bennett Dunlop has been on our favourite long-term clients. Check out some of our favourite installs with them below.

COMMUNITY SHOUTOUTS

The Globe Theatre's Return to the Round!

After 4 years of renovations, the Globe Theatre is back in the round! Support local theatre this holiday season and go see their production of Peter Pan! It features our very own Jen Fong as Wendy Darling (BBYQR’s Communication Coordinator who may or may not be writing this newsletter…) And in her entirely unbiased opinion, it's pretty darn magical!

Carmichael Outreach

Carmichael Outreach is a charity with a vision is to end homelessness and poverty in our community. This holiday season, consider supporting them by donating clothing, time, money, or other resources to their worthy initiatives.

Location: 1510 12 Ave, Regina, SK S4P 0L5

We’re always filled with gratitude for the work Carmichael Outreach does in our home city. Recently, they’ve opened a Warming Centre that’s open from now until the end of April, ensuring members of our community have a safe place to go as the winter months get colder.
