November Blues?

Balloons are Cheaper than therapy. (But go to therapy too.)

As we emerge from a Halloween candy coma and get hit with Mariah Carey belting through every department store, we all need a little extra help in November. Start (slowly) thinking about the holidays, your upcoming celebrations, and community happenings with Balloon Bar YQR's Monthly Newsletter !

NEW TEAM LOADING...

The balloon team is growing and we can't wait for you to meet our newest members! We spend a lot of October interviewing incredible members of our community, and we're thrilled to bring on two new Production Team Members this November. Stay tuned for our album cover drop.

HOLIDAY PARTY?

Psst...The best holiday parties are the ones that were planned in advance.

The weekends leading up to Christmas fill up FAST. We'll be blacking out dates for balloon orders once we hit capacity, so get your December orders in now! Remember, a holiday party without balloons is just a meeting in December.

OCTOBER HIGHLIGHTS

Cornwall's Centre's Awesome Era

When: October 2024

Where: Cornwall Centre, Regina

We're SO excited to partner with the Cornwall Centre for this "awesome" display and activity! From now until November 16th, visit the display (2nd floor at the Cornwall), snap a picture on their selfie camera, and be entered to with a $5000 shopping spree and a personal styling session! RUN DON'T WALK!

Gentle Teaching International Conference

When: October 1-3, 2024

Where: Hotel Saskatchewan

Last month, our friends at Creative Options Regina (COR) hosted the 23rd annual Gentle Teaching International Conference . This conference brought together over 400 participants from around the world in support of health, mental health, disability, and education. An event this big means big balloons. We're still reeling from this one!

U of R Convocation

When:  October 2024

Where: University of Regina Campus

Congratulations to the U of R's fall 2024 graduates! It's been a big year for the U of R as they celebrate 50 years of excellence in education! We've been delighted to install with them multiple times over the past few months, this time in recognition of some fabulous graduates. Convocating is cool. Convocating with custom balloon pillars by your side? Even cooler.

UPCOMING EVENTS

YWCA Grand Opening

When: November 6, 2024

Where: 2817 12th Avenue, Regina - kikaskihtânaw Centre for Women and Families

The YWCA is one of our all time favourite organizations, and we can't wait to stand by them when they open their new kikaskihtânaw Centre for Women and Families. This centre will be the first of its kind in Canada, dedicated to supporting and helping women and families in vulnerable situations.

Canadian Western Agribition

When: November 25 - 30, 2024

Where: REAL District, Canada Centre Building

The Agribition never disappoints! Whether you're there for the agriculture, livestock, rodeo, or the just the party (like us!), there's truly something for everyone. Plus, last year we got to bring out the cow print balloons (pictured below). So yeah, we're in.

Community, Always.

Go Vote! (Again.)

The provincial election always leaves us pretty wiped, but this is your reminder to keep it up for the municipal election on November 14, 2024!

We're (still) standing with teachers.

It's no secret that it's been a tough year in the education system, and Balloon Bar YQR is proud to stand with and for Sask teachers. The Saskatchewan Teachers Federation has been sharing great info regarding the upcoming election.

They're looking for 3 things from the candidates:

1) Restore and Maintain Per-Student Funding

2) Address class size and complexity

3) Address the growing concern of classroom violence
