policies and balloon care

Many clients have reached out and said “Your balloons last forever!” And we love that!

However, sometimes balloons don’t last “forever”, because they are balloons. Some balloons will pop, or eventually deflate, or explode for (what feels like) no apparent reason !

The balloons we use are made of the highest quality latex available and are 100% biodegradable.

Helium is an element. It will expand when it’s hot and shrink when it’s cold. The more you expose your balloons to changes in temperature the shorter the life span of them.

Air filled products are going to be more durable and generally have a longer life span that helium products.

Balloons are sensitive (much like us) and over the past 7 years, we’ve developed a few tips and tricks for helping your products look as great as possible, for as long as possible!

If we pop your balloon during your pick up or delivery we will replace it (if possible) or send a little “whoopsie” discount code your way.

However, once the order is picked up or delivered Balloon Bar is no longer responsible for any popped or damaged balloons.

All sales are final and we will not be able to refund your order or replace items after hours.

Care Tip:

Plan ahead with the size of vehicle you bring and the items inside.

Have your seats all down to make the most room.

Head to your destination as soon as possible and bring items indoors and let them float out of the bag.

Care Tip:

When loading into your vehicle, use a gentle approach.

A soft wiggle will help adjust items and is less likely to pop something than a quick shove.

Items like hot seatbelts, direct air vents, and windshield scrapers have all been the culprits of popped balloons, so have a quick look at the space before loading up.

Care Tip:

When you arrive at your venue, take the balloons indoors and un-bag them.

Watch for popcorn ceilings or other items that could cause trouble.

If the balloons are too tall for your space, cut the ribbon and retie to the loop at the correct height.

Care Tip:

Although it’s always our preference to make items for the same day as the event, it’s not always possible.

If your writing or logos start to bubble, that’s totally normal.

If you see some lifting you can gently press it down to the balloon. Or, if you trust yourself, you can snip the logo and stack the two ends so they blend together.
