The YWCA's opening of their newest space in Regina is the perfect occasion for a balloon drop! The kikaskihtânaw Centre for Women and Families opened in November 2024 and is the first of its kind in Canada. It's dedicated to supporting and helping women and families in vulnerable situations, and we were stoked to help unveil it to the community!
Inside-the-Install Details
This event utilized both indoor and outdoor spaces, so we got to bring out all the stops! The ribbon cutting was framed with custom columns, the interior spaces were filled with custom garlands, and of course, we had a hundred balloons ready to drop from the ceiling!

Balloon Drop = Jaws Drop

A balloon drop is exactly what it sounds like: brightly coloured balloons drop from the ceiling at once, delighting the crowds below.
Cheesy? Perhaps. Effective? Absolutely. The process involves a lot of tying, securing, and netting on our part. But you don't have to worry about that. You just get to bask in balloon magic when they come down!

Community Heroes: The YWCA

We get to work with the YWCA every few months, and we are constantly amazed by their work and passion. With incredibly diverse programming, services, events, and funding opportunities, they are truly making waves in our community everyday. We are proud to say that they are one BBYQR's main charitable partners, and we plan to support them for many years to come.
